  • Before a wax treatment:

    - Make sure your hair is long enough for waxing, typically about 1/4 inch to 1/2 inch.

    - Avoid tanning or sun exposure 24 hours before your appointment, as this can increase sensitivity.

    - Exfoliate the area to be waxed a day or two before to remove dead skin cells and help the wax adhere better.

    - Avoid applying any creams, lotions, or oils to the area to be waxed on the day of your appointment, as this can interfere with the waxing process.

    - Communicate any allergies or skin sensitivities to your esthetician before the treatment.

    During a wax treatment:

    - Your esthetician will clean the area to be waxed and may apply a pre-waxing oil or powder to protect your skin.

    - They will then apply the warm wax to the area in the direction of hair growth and place a fabric strip over it.

    - The strip is quickly pulled off in the opposite direction of hair growth, removing the wax and hair. The process is repeated until the desired area is completely waxed.

    - You may experience some discomfort during the waxing process, but it is usually brief.

    After a wax treatment:

    - Your esthetician may apply a soothing lotion or gel to the waxed area to calm any redness or irritation.

    - Avoid hot showers, saunas, steam rooms, or swimming pools for at least 24 hours after the treatment to prevent irritation.

    - Wear loose-fitting clothing to avoid friction and irritation on the waxed area.

    - Avoid sun exposure and apply sunscreen to the waxed area if necessary.

    - Exfoliate the waxed area gently after a few days to prevent ingrown hairs.

    - Schedule your next waxing appointment based on your hair growth cycle, typically every 4-6 weeks.

  • Before Dermaplaning Treatment:

    2. Preparation: Discontinue certain skincare products or medications as advised. Inform the professional about any recent facial treatments.

    During Dermaplaning Treatment:

    1. Cleansing: Your face is cleansed to remove makeup, dirt, and oils.

    2. Blade Technique: A sterile surgical blade gently exfoliates your skin, removing dead skin cells and peach fuzz.

    3. Light Pressure: The professional uses light, feathering strokes for even exfoliation.

    4. Sensation: You may feel mild scraping or tingling, but the treatment is generally painless. Inform the professional if discomfort arises.
